The Quantitative
EEG is an assessment measure use in
evaluating ADD, ADHD or head injury. The NeuroSearch™
acquisition unit is the first step in processing EEG signals
into meaningful
information.
The electrocap (left) contains electrodes or sensors which detect brain wave activity
across 19 specific areas of the brain. This information is processed by
the computer and a map of brain wave activity is generated. This
brain
map helps guide the neurobiofeedback process. Brain Mapping
provides a more objective and accurate diagnosis and provides more detailed
information on actual inter and intra-communication within brain regions. With
this detailed analysis, neurofeedback protocols are developed to retrain the
brain, leading to increased communication, processing and attentional
capabilities. This allows for effective training in more complex cases such as
multiple learning disabilities, developmental delays and mild head injuries.
